Brasso Seco is located at the base of Trinidad’s highest peak and the trail to the top is a challenging climb straight up but is filled with exciting possibilities of sighting rare birds and even glimpsing the endemic golden tree frog which can only be found in the bromeliads of our two highest peaks. You will also see a dramatic change in vegetation as you ascend into the elfin cloud forest where trees are shorter and bromeliads are huge. The descent can be tough on the knees and slippery when wet but you can finish with a nice cold drink from the bar and feel proud of reaching the highest point in Trinidad.
